Visits Made Easy at Etihad Stadium with New Changing Places
Over the last few years we have been working hard to promote and install Changing Places across the UK. Changing Places is a campaign on behalf of people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This includes people with profound learning disabilities, their carers, as well as other disabled people. They need Changing Places toilets with space and the right equipment- including a full room covering Ceiling Hoist and a height adjustable Changing Bench.
In 2014 OpeMed and Astor Bannerman began the joint venture: Aveso and became the official Changing Places Sponsors. Since then our installations have been seen in Airports, Stadiums, Tourist Attractions, Leisure Centres and more.

In that time, campaigners have been furiously campaigning for Football Clubs to install Changing Places and have been building pressure and momentum through media and news over the last year.We had great pleasure in installing the first four Changing Places in football clubs for Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Brighton and Hove and now we are happy to announce the registration of Manchester City Etihad Stadium. We are delighted that it is registered and officially open to the public. Well done Man City. It was a pleasure working with you!
As you may know from reading our previous blog (click here to read “Disability MP calls for Changing Places in Premier League Stadia“), Penny Mordaunt MP met with Premier League football clubs to ask them to install Changing Places before the end of the year and pressure is continuing to grow for football clubs across the UK. We hope other clubs will follow these current exemplary facilities and set an example to the rest of the sporting community that Supporters with Disabilities are welcome and their needs are catered for.
