Two Goals and Two Changing Places Toilets for Chelsea FC

As season ticket holders at Stamford Bridge, OpeMed were delighted to see Chelsea score twice in December in the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals, but also to see that ‘2’ meant more for Stamford Bridge Stadium; as the two Changing Places Toilets for Chelsea FC were very much in use amongst the disabled football fans. Not only was there a permanent Changing Places facility for those who require a Hoist and a Changing Bench to go to the toilet, but there was also a Mobiloo in action – fitted out with OpeMed specialist equipment, Mobiloo is a mobile accessible Changing Places that is hired and driven wherever it is required.

Installed by OpeMed in November and including the OT200 Ceiling Hoist and Hudson Changing Table, the 12m2 fully compliant Changing Places is already an important feature that we hear is getting heavy use.
It is encouraging that Chelsea not only recognises the need of their disabled fans for these facilities but the size of the demand, providing more than one accessible toileting space. Despite the looming deadline for Stamford Bridge to be redeveloped and rebuilt, Chelsea has still committed to installing Changing Places which reassures disabled football fans that inclusivity is paramount.

OpeMed have become the go-to for installing Changing Places at sports venues, having worked on most of the Premiership clubs, rugby clubs and cricket venues with some more exciting stadia in the pipeline.
