OpeMed Install Consecutive Ceiling Hoist Projects At Hospitals In South East Asia

OpeMed are well under way with two of their latest Hospital projects in South East Asia. Supported by the OpeMed Project Management team, who attend site and advise on best practice to achieve the most efficient installation, the project is one of two Health Authority Hospital projects being simultaneously completed in record time by OpeMed’s exclusive distributor in the region.

Multiple wards in the Hospital are replacing old hoists with the OT200 (the smallest professional use hoist on the market). In other departments, brand new systems are being installed allowing efficient transfer from the ward through to the assisted bathrooms, reducing nursing staff resource and giving a tangible return on investment to the Health Authority.

The OpeMed turntable with its automatic magnetic technology is a proven reliable system that does not rely on electronic switches leaving the carer to concentrate on the patient. The magnet prevents the risk of a double-contact if the patient rocks excessively whilst the hoist is passing through the fully automatic turntable, a problem that has been evident for many years with other hoist systems. The OpeMed turntable can also be fitted with multiple hoists, so one hoist can be in the ward and one in the bathroom, saving even more time for the care-staff.

The unique hybrid Gravity Charging and No-Lights At Night features of the OT200 were all part of the reason OpeMed was chosen in the tender process over and above other Ceiling Hoists.

Even installing 8m tracks onto the 5th floor of the hospital in one of the busiest capital cities in the world was managed on time and within budget.
