Naidex 2018 : How to Make the Most of Your Experience

Returning for an unparalleled 44th year, Naidex cites itself as Europe’s most established trade, professional and public event dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and lifestyle of people with a disability or impairment with due cause. Naidex will be held at the NEC in Birmingham on 25th – 26th of April.

Offering the opportunity for networking, one-to-one advice supported by live demonstrations from over 300 pioneering exhibitors, Naidex is a hub of innovation for the disability community. Aiding the advancement of this huge and growing industry, it provides the means to strengthen knowledge of the disability sector and discover and purchase the most cutting-edge new products and technology supporting it.

Naidex is free to attend, so with such vast learning and networking prospects, how can you maximise the experience and make the most of 2 days under the same roof as 12,000 like-minded individuals?

The Seminars

OpeMed’s Managing Director, Nick Kent, will be leading a seminar on Changing Places: How to Support Your Community. This talk will be aiming to raise the awareness of the Changing Places campaign amongst the disability sector and bring people up to date with the new British Standard.

This will be amongst many other seminars taking place, covering a variety of topics around Independent Living, Adaptations and Design for the Disabled Community.

Planning Ahead

Take a look at the exhibition stand map prior to setting off and the list of exhibitors. Consider what you are wanting to get out of your visit, what you are wanting to achieve and narrow down the exhibitors most relevant to you. Planning a route around the event will minimise the chances of missing stands that you would like to visit and will allow more time for networking and learning and less time wasted findings the right stands for your interests.

Keep an Eye on the Clock

With scheduled events over the two days such as the Panel Discussion sessions, CPD Accredited Seminars and Manual Handling Demonstrations, keeping an eye on the time is paramount to ensure nothing is missed. Planning exhibit visits around the times of scheduled talks is a good way to remain focused on the time and keeping on track.
