The coastal Football Club; Brighton & Hove Albion FC have now completed installation work with OpeMed on a brand new Changing Places facility. The club (more frequently known as “The Seagulls”) now has a Changing Places in the East Wing of the stadium for disabled visitors and carers. What is a Changing Places?

The stadium is used by many visitors for football games, rugby games as well as concerts and conferences too. There obviously is an increasing need for Changing Places WC’s in large stadia such as Brighton & Hove Albion in order to support the existing and growing number of disabled clients. Changing Places Equipment

The Changing Places at Brighton and Hove Albion features x1 OT200 Ceiling Hoist, x1 OpeMed Straight Track and x1 Shower Trolley. Changing Places are designed to provide the support and opportunity to accommodate the toileting and changing of disabled users including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

A Changing Places Toilet will go over and above the provisions of a Disabled Toilet as there is more space for wheelchair turning, a hygienic changing platform, a hoist, a specialist WC and supportive grab rails. For more information on Changing Places and our work as co-sponsor.

As the football clubs and stadiums of the UK are embracing Changing Places, the opportunities for disabled users and carers to enjoy more “hassle free” day trips is ever increasing! The Changing Places facility at Brighton and Hove Albion will be open to the public later this year. For more information contact us.
