Championing Changing Places 2016
There are currently 878 Changing Places facilities available in the UK designed to be accessible to all. We have to thank for this success, the tireless campaigners; due to their constant work and effort – always striving to make attractions, and social and community areas think about the impact that these facilities will have on those who need them and their carers and families.
As co-sponsors, OpeMed will be bringing together the passionate individuals who are keen to jump in and offer their support to the Changing Places campaign . This will offer you the unique chance to share stories and tactics, be able to glean successful strategies and learn from key campaigners.
We will be holding two Championing Changing Places days across the UK in Nottingham on the 25th of October and in Surrey on the 29th of October.
On the day, you can expect activities to kick start your campaigning, helping you to understand and recognise the equipment included, effective ways address people vital to bringing about new Changing Places as well as the chance to speak to founding members of the Changing Places consortium to learn more about the reason and inception behind the campaign and its path towards the future.
If you are new to the Changing Places campaign and are feel you would benefit from positive immersion to the campaign from those with experience, and can really put these tools and knowledge to use in your local area, then we would love to see you at our Championing Changing Places Day.
