Friday 8th May saw the ribbon cutting of the highly anticipated Flat Spaces Accessible Holiday Home, coined: ‘The No Compromise Option’ for it’s bench-mark setting accessibility standards for a holiday home.
After only 6 weeks from build to completion, this pre-fabricated DanWood bungalow with OpeMed Ceiling Hoists and Assisted Bathroom Equipment is not only impressively accessible, but also a very beautiful environment to be in; an expectation of any holiday home!
Flat Spaces: What’s Inside?
The butter yellow bungalow comprises of a large hall way which leads through to the tastefully decorated living room and kitchen area. The kitchen surfaces are all height adjustable as is the kitchen table. From the hallway you can then access one of three bedrooms. Two bedrooms of which are connected by OT200 Ceiling Hoist on an embedded track system which leads to a central accessible bathroom where a shower chair, grab rails and an assistive toilet are situated. Our involvement along the journey as Ceiling Hoist and Bathroom Assistive Equipment provider has involved a large input of technical advice and expertise on layout design to achieve a good working space for users and carers. Now that the property has been officially opened by Alan Titchmarsh (MBE DL), bookings are being accepted for stays throughout this year and next.
